About Us

My passion for the outdoors and all of its serene beauty drove me toward a career in the golf course industry, which began nearly 25 years ago. Nature has a way of “calling,” and in my case, led me to pursue and obtain two agronomical degrees, one in Turf Grass Science, along with a second degree in Commercial Turf. Over the years I have continued education to enhance my knowledge related to agronomy and botanicals, while also learning safe and effective treatments of plant diseases and various pesticide applications to control pest nuisances.

I have been a golf course superintendent for over 20 years, working at well-known courses such as Glen Kernan and Amelia Island Plantation. Course members and homeowners would always ask for my advice regarding their yards and often times contracted me to enhance their residences and commercial properties. These requests became more and more frequent, so I decided to start my own business, Grass Guru, LLC, and use my expertise to help others achieve their outdoor goals.

Grass Guru provides turf grass management solutions for residential properties, sports fields, parks, cemeteries, and golf courses. Some of our services include pest control, fertilization, agronomy programs, diagnostics, irrigation repair and installation, and landscape design and installation.
